From start to finish the process of finding suitable coverage depends on the level of communication and detail that we receive from our clients. The proposal we construct is based on information we receive from you, the client. That information affects the number of companies that will offer quotes, the price of coverage and the type of coverage that an insurer is willing to offer.
Here is a flow chart of how the process works:
IMPORTANT
Misrepresentation:
A false or misleading statement that, if intentional and material, can allow the insurer to void the insurance contract. Some insurance policies and state laws that govern insurance contract provisions vary on the exact details of the conditions under which coverage may be voided; these variations are usually denoted in state amendatory endorsements.
Note:
Professional Liability policies are based upon the statements made in the application process. This converts the application into a part of the policy. The questions on the application are known as “warranties” (definition below). If a client makes a voluntary or involuntary misrepresentation of the information upon which this proposal is based, it will invalidate the proposal.
warranty:
A statement of fact given to an insurer by the insured concerning the insured risk which, if untrue, will void the policy.
